Full Time Study Programme
NCFE Level 3 in sports / sports coaching.
Equivalent to 3 A-Levels, allowing direct entry to UK and US Universities. The qualification is two years, delivered at our site at Warwick University.
Entry Requirements
You must be 16 years old by 31 August to begin your programme in early September.
Applicants require 4 GCSEs, including English and Maths. If a resit is needed,
You will complete any required resits while studying for the qualification.
Progression Routes
Year 3 - PT Level 3
NCFE Level 3 Diploma in Gym Instructing and Personal Training is intended for learners aged 16 and over and focuses on the role and scope of a Gym Instructor and Personal Trainer. The qualification is mapped to the CIMSPA (Chartered Institute for the Management of Sport and Physical Activity) Gym Instructor and Personal Trainer professional standards.
The NCFE Level 3 Diploma in Gym Instructing and Personal Training is designed as a 1-year, full-time course.
Higher education
Upon completing your education course, students have the opportunity to remain at the Foundation and undertake a degree qualification with our partner universities.
These are blended degrees, allowing you to study around your football and work commitments while continuing to train and play at the Foundation. Available pathways include degrees in Sports Coaching, Sports Science, and Sports Business.
If you’re aged 16–19 and passionate about football, this is your chance to reach your potential both on the pitch and in the classroom.

Schedule and Dates
- SFF follows the Coventry education term times.
- We also allow the students to join us in pre-season training that starts in the second week of July.
