Gordon enjoyed an illustrious playing career with Dundee, Aberdeen, Manchester United, Leeds United and Coventry City. In that time he won some of the most glittering prizes in the game, including the English Division One title (now the Premiership), the FA Cup, Scottish Premier League and the European Cup Winners’ Cup. Gordon also represented Scotland 50 times – appearing in two World Cups. He has since managed Coventry City and Southampton in the Premier League and Celtic in the Champions League and also having a short spell at Middlesbrough. Gordon Strachan was recently the manager of his national team Scotland, which he described as a dream job and an absolute honour to lead his country for over five years. Gordon is a regular face at the training ground and takes a strong interest in the goings on within the Foundation.
Director of Football
George plied his trade for Dundee United, Partick Thistle and Odense of the Danish Premier League as a player, before moving into coaching with Coventry City, Dundee United, Livingston and Arbroath. George has attained the prestigious UEFA PRO License qualification – the highest honour in coaching. George has had some great achievements in his coaching career guiding Coventry City Youth team to two consecutive FA Youth Cup Finals against Arsenal and West Ham United. Assistant Director of Football
Craig is a UEFA A and FA Youth Module 3 qualified coach is currently a scout for Celtic FC, with an excellent track record of recruiting players for there first team and development squad. Craig is a Former Professional at Coventry City and Scotland Youth International. During this time he played in two consecutive FA youth cup finals. Craig was forced into retirement at 21 due to a persistent back injury.
Craig was a golf professional for over 10 years and brings experience and knowledge of competing and coaching in professional sports.
Head of Football Operations and Coach
Ryan has been with the Strachan Football Foundation since the summer of 2017. Ryan has been coaching for the last ten years in both mens and ladies football. A UEFA B License coach who will be embarking on his A License this year.
Ryan has coached and managed the Coventry City ladies team as well as coaching in America and India. Ryan Currently manages the Strachan football foundations midweek team and weekend team for Rugby town juniors, as well as the SCL Blue team in the SCL league

Lewis is a former student at the Strachan Football foundation and had an interest in coaching before he came to the foundation. His pathway has been two years as a student, a year as an apprentice and now a full time coach. He has been coaching from a very young age and currently manages the SCL yellow team as well as assisting with midweek and weekend games for Rugby Town juniors.
Lewis is currently a level 2 coach and will be undertaking his UEFA B License this year.
Lewis has played for a number of semi professional clubs in and around the midlands. including Coventry united, Rugby town and currently plays for Racing Club Warwick.
Head Of Education
Alex joined the Strachan Football foundation this year and has already proven to be a key member of the foundation staff.
Alex qualified from Edge Hill University and perused a career in sports and education and has previously been based out in the Middle East for the previous 4 years delivering education from various exam boards. He has now joined the Strachan Football Foundation delivering level 2 and 3 qualification. He is a big football supporter and follows his beloved Liverpool Football Club.
